Trasie Sands is a writer and the editor of The Blake-Jones Review. Her publications include The Antigonish Review, Fictive Dream, 101 Words, and Project Calm Magazine. Trasie has also been long-listed for a Bath Short Story Award. She has studied under Dr. Alistair MacLeod, Dr. Bruce Meyer, and Adele Wiseman while obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in Drama and Creative Writing from the University of Windsor.
"Trasie Sands is one of the most inventive, original, and lively short story writers working in Canada today. Her ability to approach familiar subjects in an askance manner, with tremendous craft, precision, and surprise makes her a writer to watch. As editor and publisher of The Blake Jones Review, she possesses an accuracy and honour for language that enrich the narratives of her own writing. I eagerly await her first full-length book collection of stories."
